I'm a long-time AVH fan. He was a DJ at the Loft in Boston back when I lived up there. Then he started remixing lots of big artists and made a bunch of hot records on his own. "Touch Your Toes" came out earlier this year, but the album GHETTOBLASTER finally came out a few weeks ago. Highly recommended!
I'm also going to give you a bunch of vintage AVH for your memorial day weekend pleasure. Get into it.

"I do not have the will to try and fight"
Sorry for the lack of posts. I was on holiday in Italy. I didn't get to do as much record shopping as I'd hoped, but while in Firenze I did find a shop with a wealth of 45s including these two gems.
RAF - Self Control
This is real Italo. Before Laura Branigan brought it to the USA, RAF released his song in 83. The adorable clerk at the shop told me (in broken english) that RAF was from Florence. This must be the extended version because it has a funny New York sounding rap in the middle.
Mi-Sex - Computer Games
Although this sounds very Italo, it's actually a band from down under. Released in 79, it still sounds pretty hot today. I'm so glad I found this because I never knew who did it until the aforemetioned adorable clerk played it for me in the store. Reminds me of Gary Numan.
