"paradise is exactly like where you are right now only much, much better"

I have recently rediscovered some music from my youth. CDs that I purchased a zillion years ago (back when you repurchased your favorite records and tapes on CD) but haven't been played in almost as long.

Laurie Anderson - From The Air
Let me tell you, Big Science blew my fucking mind when I heard it for the first time. From the atonality to the spoken word thing, it was all very new for me. However, many things were new for me at that time. This is the time, and this is the record of the time.

From Home of the Brave, the first Laurie Anderson album I bought - back in high school - on cassette. At this point, Anderson was crafting something more like traditional songs, but the basic premise was still in place. Except that now it was produced by Nile Rodgers. Que es mas macho?
